Deep Roots 2026 by K Series Parts

Intro

On an overcast, summer day, there was a car meet hosted by K Series Parts on the rooftop of a parking garage. At the Cherry Creek Mall in Denver, CO, a numerous amount of Hondas and Acuras came out. Unlike the local Honda Acura Meets, this meet was a borderline-car show. Vendors had their canopies, tables, and displays set up around the sea of cars on the 5th level of the parking garage.

K Series Parts actually has their headquarters in Denver, CO so it’s cool for them to throw an official meet locally. Being that this was a borderline-car show, I had to register for a free spot prior to the meet. I was going back and forth whether or not I wanted to be a part of it. 2 nights beforehand, I decided to register and it was a smooth process from there. I made my way up to the 5th floor of the parking garage and was greeted by KSP (or K Series Parts) staff/volunteer(s). I was given a time slot to “roll in” or check-in – which made it seem like a car show lol; anyways, they told me to head to the “A Parking” and I found a spot.

In attendance, there were cars built for different purposes. There were the show cars, the track cars, the street cars, and the daily drivers. Secondly, there was the people too. Enthusiasts, young and old, with their kiddos, OGs, and/or pets. There was also a good playlist being blasted on the speakers. Now that the scene’s set, let’s get into the cars!

Hondas and Acuras

Since this is a K Series Event implying Hondas and Acuras, that’s what I’ll start off with. I’ll preface this by saying not all cars here were K-series powered so take this with a grain a salt! Ironically, the first car I captured at the meet will be an S2000 lol.

Here’s a Honda S2000 (AP2) in New Formula Red set up on chrome Volk TE37s. It’s kitted with a OEM front lip, front mount intercooler, and a First Molding Super Bonnet.

From the rear, we can see the OEM hardtop, carbon fiber duckbill trunk, JDP rear diffuser, and sideskirt extension.

Here’s an Acura NSX with a simple setup of 5zigen Proracer GN+ wheels.

In the center section of the Deep Roots Meet, there was this Championship White Honda Civic Type R (FL5) on a set of Desmond Regamaster wheels.

This Acura Integra GSR in Supersonic Blue Pearl was sitting on a set of Group B Unlimited NC-01 wheels.

Another CTR but in Boost Blue Pearl and on a set of Volk TE37s. The front lip is from Aeroflow Dynamics and it’s their S Style V3 variant.

A pair of imported, RHD Honda Preludes. The one on the right features a set of Mugen M5 wheels..

A trio of Championship White FL5’s with various differences…

This “RICEGOD” FL5 in particular has OEM option parts such as the 19-inch forged alloy wheels and the more aggressive, carbon fiber spoiler.

For those who didn’t know, K Series Parts was formally known as ClubRSX. I’ve recently discovered this and now I understand why there were a bunch of RSXs (or DC5s).

This DC5 is owned by Mario. He wrapped his kouki DC5 in this brilliant blue vinyl. It’s running an A-spec lip kit as well as an Integra Type R (ITR) spoiler.

Besides Mario’s DC5 was this Nighthawk Black Pearl RSX. On the exterior we can view the INGS+ front bumper, Mugen sideskirts, ITR spoiler, and Work Emotion ZR10 wheels in a Glim Black Diamond colorway.

Inside the engine bay is where the owner spent a lot of time and attention on. There were a ton of details and I wished I talked to the owner to learn what work was actually done just inside the engine bay.

Continuing down the line of front-and-center DC5s, there was this Desert Silver Metallic kouki RSX paired nicely with a set of Motegi MR131 Traklite wheels.

This car and its owner isn’t a stranger to Honda Acura Meets. This DC5 is owned by Ali, @dc5.ali (IG). It’s basically an ITR clone with a few cool touches.

Working our way down, we can view the J’s Racing Fenders above the Volk CE28s. Behind the CE28s are the Spoon brake calipers.

A nice touch is the Type S emblem. It solidifies the mix between the USDM RSX and the JDM ITR.

Besides Ali’s DC5, there was this Acura RSX – another one in Desert Silver Metallic. This one’s owned by Dollar (sorry if I butchered your name!) and it’s special because it’s a family heirloom. His pops bought this RSX brand-new and garage kept it until it was passed down to his brother and eventually the keys landed in his hands.

I honestly thought this car was restored but it’s been meticulously cared for all these years… It’s mainly stock besides the wheels. There are actually 2 pairs of Mugen GP wheels on Dollar’s RSX. The driver side has the GPs in gunmetal while the passenger side has the GPs in bronze.

Shoutout to Dollar for the rundown on his family heirloom. Anyone else feeling jealous or is it just me? Haha just kidding!

One chassis I kinda dreamed of owning before my FA5 was an EM1 like this one except in Electron Blue Pearl instead of the Flamenco Black Pearl we see here. Very simple setup with the Rays TE37 OG wheels in bronze and a mirror swap to Spoon mirrors. The blue tint is a pleasant touch by the way…

This Honda S2000 (AP1) has an OEM front lip, carbon fiber hardtop, and bronze Mita Motorsports SS wheels.

Another imported Honda, this Integra Type R (DC5) remained clean and stock as if it came out of the Japanese Honda dealership in the early 2000’s.

Want to see this mini kei truck grow?

Boom! This is another imported Honda. The Honda Acty SDX 4WD Mini Truck. Besides the small bits around the truck, I came to notice the Integra Type R (style?) wheels in silver.

Now let’s get into the other cars that pulled up to Deep Roots 2026.

Other Makes

This European sedan has a spot on my “Mount Rushmore” of European cars. It’s the Mercedes-Benz E-Class (W124) but with a twist…

Inside the engine bay is a Honda S2000 F-series engine. I checked out the interior and the transmission tunnel has been modified a ton to accommodate the unorthodox drivetrain configuration.

This is a car I’ve seen at another local car meet. I threw some angle in the photo to really match the aura of this Toyota Corolla Levin coupe on mismatched small wheels.

I love the look of street drift cars.

I never thought I’d ever see a Hakotora in real life until this car meet. Some backstory, Michi-san from 09 Racing wanted to combine the practicality of his Nissan Sunny truck with the sporty-esque look of his Nissan Skyline GT-R (or hakosuka). He couldn’t afford both of them so he sold his hakosuka to fund his hybrid sports-truck (Source: James Gilboy from The Drive).

This hakotora has the signature hakosuka front end with fender mirrors and over fenders from 09 Racing. It’s pretty fitting that there’s a retro motorcycle in the trunk bed since 09 Racing is a motorcycle shop owned by Michi-san himself.

I love the simplicity of this Mazda MX-5 Miata RF Club Edition (ND). There were subtle carbon fiber touches I wished I captured more or took note of. The gunmetal on the Konig Hyperspec wheels pairs nicely with the Snowflake White Pearl Mica paint.

Continuing on with the Mazdas, here’s a Mazda RX-7 (FD3S). Despite it’s stock body, the parts selection really caters to the Japanese tuning shops that were featured on Hot Version. Examples include (1) the Feed Afflux Ver.2 front bumper from the Fujita Engineering tuning shop, (2) the RE Amemiya vented hood and GT2 wing, and (3) the Work Emotion CR Kiwami wheels in black.

This picture seems really fitting… I feel like I’m at the Daikouku Parking Area in Yokohama, Japan.

To add onto the JDM goodness, here’s a dream-spec street-style Nissan Silvia (S14) zenki. It’s airbagged and sits proper with the complimenting Vertex Lang body kit. Arguably, it looks great with the Work CR Kai’s. I’m not biased to Work CR Kai’s/Kiwami’s or anything…

Last but not least, here’s a track-purposed Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X (EVO X for short). Underneath the Victory Function front fenders and rear over fenders are a wide set of Enkei RPF1’s – ironically an unpopular wheel choice in Colorado in my opinion. Besides the aggressive aero up front, the rear downforce option is the Aermotions wing paired with their 17″ wing uprights.

Closer

It was awesome to see such a dope selection of cars at the Deep Roots 2026 car meet. I’m always looking forward to seeing more Honda/Acura builds in Colorado because I’ve really only known about Hondas/Acuras primarily on the West Coast, and secondarily on the East Coast if we’re just talking about the United States. The overall event was pretty organized and the vibes were dope. Everyone seemed to have a good time checking out the cars and hanging out.

I dipped out early because there was a slow-down in cars coming in so I’ve probably missed out on some more clean builds. Regardless, it was fun to capture these flicks. I’m glad I got to meet a couple more Honda/Acura owners as well! That’s all for now folks! Thanks for tuning in to this one! Catch you next time, JVZY out!
